Pool Closure

We can now confirm the date of the temporary closure of the Withington Baths swimming pool as the 17th January. The closure is required so scaffolding and covers can be erected for the previously announced renovation work to the roof.

The pool and the sauna will be closed for a 3 week period. The gym and studios will remain open as normal, with no disruption to our yoga/fitness classes.

The work being carried out to the roof is essential for the future of The Baths and we’re grateful to the National Heritage Lottery Fund and Manchester City Council for their contributions to the cost of the works and helping us restore it to its former Edwardian glory.

Most of all, our thanks go to you, our members. As a non-profit organisation, without you we wouldn’t be able to continue providing leisure services to the community. Thank you for your support and understanding at this time.
