Due to the recent decision to put Manchester into Tier 4, Withington Baths will unfortunately be staying closed as of the 30th of December. We know how disappointing this news is, however we’ll do our best to continue serving the community as soon as we can reopen.
In answer to the most commonly asked questions please find our handy guide below:
Due to the short notice given by the government Direct Debits have already been applied for and it was impossible for us to prevent January payments from being taken. For this reason member’s direct debits will be frozen for February when we reopen. To make this as easy as possible for you, you won’t have to do anything in relation to your direct debit. We will contact Harlands to freeze your membership when we reopen.
We’re committed to maintaining Withington Baths as a sustainable community-led facility. As a not-for-profit organisation, every penny of your membership goes towards maintaining and operating the facility. If you’re able to support us you can do so by either joining our online classes, or by making a donation – it all goes to a great cause! You can donate here: https://donorbox.org/withington-baths-donations
Those with a pre-paid membership will have their membership extended by the amount of time we’re closed.
All swimming lesson direct debits will be automatically frozen in February in lieu of the January payment which has already been applied for – you don’t need to do anything. Direct debits will restart as soon as swimming lessons re-commence. If you’re able to support us you can do so by making a donation here: https://donorbox.org/withington-baths-donations
In an effort to keep everyone active during our closure, we’ll be hosting a number of our classes online. There’ll be a mix of fitness & yoga classes every day of the week taught live from the studio by some of your favourite instructors. Online classes will start back from Monday 4th January. You’ll be able to book through our website at www.withingtonbaths.com/classes from this weekend.
As our staff will be furloughed, we’ll be unable to respond to your enquiries during closure. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Once we’ve re-opened if you have any queries regarding the above you can contact us via email@example.com.
We know that lockdown will be tough for a lot of our members, and the community at large, and although we’re unable to open our doors to you, we’ll be doing everything we can to support the community.
Thanks for your understanding!
