This visit programme feeds into several KS2 curriculum areas including History – investigation, research, wider context, significance, ‘then and now’, and chronological sequencing. STEM – engineering design and construction and Geography – social geography, local facilities, people and local places, geographical/social significance.

This programme focuses on the issues of class and gender equality in Edwardian society through the figure of local councillor and women’s campaigner, Margaret Ashton. This visit programme feeds into several KS2 curriculum areas including, history – investigation, research, wider context, significance, ‘then and now’. Geography – social geography, local facilities, people, and local places. English – consideration of character, debating issues in historical context.
