Salary: £23,362.56 per annum / £14.04 per hour
Contract: Fixed Term until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension

Withington Works is a thriving co-working space. Operating since 2019 in our original space, situated above Withington Baths community run leisure centre and swimming pool, has now grown to host over 30 regular members and 400 day pass visits per year.
In November 2025 we expanded and opened our second co-working space at Withington Public Hall Institute CIC (WPHI). We are open at WPHI during the daytime 9am–4pm for casual café-style co-working.
Withington Works holds socials and runs a professional support network for Withington and the local area. Our mission is to bring people together and support local enterprise through accessible, welcoming spaces.
Withington Public Hall Institute CIC (WPHI) is a vibrant, community-led social enterprise located in a historic space in the heart of Withington, South Manchester. As both a community venue and a neighbourhood pub, WPHI are all about people, pints – and now, productivity.
Outside of co-working, WPHI hosts a diverse range of cultural and social events in the evenings, including live gigs, comedy, talks, club nights, and more. The spaces are WPHI are also hired out for meetings, community groups, private parties, training, choir practice and networking events.
Our Withington Works space at WPHI is supported by a UK Government grant from Manchester City Council. This enabled Withington Works to expand our co-working space into Withington Public Hall Institute (WPHI). This year WPHI have been awarded an Economic Development & Regeneration Flexible Grant 2026/7 from Manchester City Council, which will continue to support the co-working space at WPHI and Withington Works events programme.
We are looking for a warm, organised and proactive Workspace Coordinator to support the daily running of our co-working space at WPHI. You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes co-working guests, coordinate daytime venue hire bookings during co-working hours, lead on our programme of events to support local enterprise, and helps ensure that both our workspace offerings run smoothly.
Whilst the focus of the role will be around the Withington Works co-working offer at WPHI, we would like the successful candidate to support with venue operations at WPHI, supporting the Directors and wider team. This could include administrative tasks such as bookings, venue logistics, accounts and promotions, to help ensure that WPHI runs as smoothly as possible.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in a community-focused environment, and has a passion for making spaces feel inclusive, welcoming and productive.
The role is circa 32 hours per week. This could be split across 4 or 5 days, between 8:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday, and further hours to work with WPHI could be available outside of office hours. We’re happy to discuss flexible working patterns and job share arrangements.
