About Us

Love Withington Baths is a vibrant, community-run organisation dedicated to operating leisure and wellbeing facilities that best meet the physical and mental health needs of the local community. As custodians of Manchester’s last working Edwardian pool, we combine heritage with health, delivering inclusive programmes, fitness services, and events that support the wellbeing of all who use our facilities.

In 2025 we have established LWB Trading to operate Withington Works, which is a managed workspace within Withington Baths & Leisure Centre. We have also taken on our first ‘new’ site at Broadway Baths in Moston. This is on a 3-year lease with Manchester City Council. We are actively pursuing other opportunities to take on local and independent leisure facilities. This recent expansion marks the start of a growth phase and we’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join us as we continue to develop sustainable operations and expand our community impact.

We are not VAT registered and have an Accountancy company which prepares monthly management accounts and an annual audit for both companies and submits all documentation to Companies House and to the Charity Commission.

Love Withington Baths has an annual turnover of £1.4M and Broadway has a forecast annual turnover of £400,000. LWB Trading will have a turnover of around £40,000. There are 70 employees across the sites with the majority of these being zero hours.

  • Submit payroll information to our payroll company
  • Support revenue and/or capital funding applications with financial data, and report on grant spending as required.
  • Maintain and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
